The BEST Summer Outfits for the Disney Dad

What are the best summer clothes to wear on your next summer Disney vacation - The Casual Disney Dad’s opinion!

As we all know, Central Florida in the summer time is hot and sticky and very very sweaty. Below I will highlight some of the clothes that I have worn, and through trial and error, which ones I like best.

Now everyone has their own styles and that’s a good thing. I want to stress comfort over fashion.

Best Shorts:

  • Pace Break Linerless Short 7” - LuluLemon

These shorts are lightweight, breathable, quick drying with deep enough pockets for your phone and wallet!

  • Uncle Bucks - Birddogs

These are my favorite casual shorts with a built in liner. Quick drying and very comfortable and the built in lining helps against possible friction.

  • AIM Short - Vuori

These are a more formal style of shorts. As a below average golfer, these are great for the theme parks and the golf course!

  • Lined Classic Swim Trunk - Chubbies

These are by far the best twin trunks I have ever owned. The lining has superior comfort and they dry very quickly. The colors can be a bit loud but I think that’s okay at the pool!

Best Shirts:

  • Strato Tech Polo - Vuori

This is the versatile soft and very lightweight polo. I suggest wearing lighter colors that won’t show sweat stains under the armpits.

  • Matching Family Shirt

Look fellas, juts do it and make your wife happy and pose for the family photos.

  • The Heater Polo - Travis Mathew

Travis Mathew makes some of my favorite golf gear and their Heater polo is perfect for looking good but keeping cool in the parks.

Footwear:

  • Tuahine Sandal - OluKai

By far the best sandal I have ever owned. I have tried many of OluKai’s top competitors in the past and they usually last one summer. I have had my current pair of OluKai Tuahine Sandals for three years and they still look and feel new (trust me, I wear them A LOT)! They go with almost any outfit, are comfortable and provide good support.

  • Cloudswift 3 - On

I have a slightly wide foot so the brands like Nike tend not to fit me well. I have recently purchased the Cloudswift 3 from On and they have been very comfortable, breathable and supportive. I have to admit I have not tried them in the parks yet doing 20,000 steps, but i’m pretty confident they will do the trick.

Bonus: Sunglasses

If all else fails, you can always count of the old trusty Dad standard:
